Excerpts

"Prayer is a powerful tool.  The use of prayer is too often neglected by too many Christians.  Many have become discouraged but what seems to be a lack of answers.  But, God always answers a Christians prayer, but not always in the way the pray-er want it answered.  There is where faith comes on the scene, and without faith it is impossible to please God."

"Little things that seem so insignificant at the time have great meaning in God’s plan for our lives, and in the very special way that He answers our prayers."

"I believe the greatest disappointment that Christians have regarding seemingly unanswered prayers is in the area of healing.  Yes, I’ve seen and heard of marvelous events of healing.  But, for every one that had a miraculous restoration to health, there are probably a thousand to whom God seems to say, “Sorry, can’t help. Or won’t help.”  Our Heavenly Father ALWAYS answers our prayers, but, not always in the way we would like for Him to answer them.  Be content with the fact that God’s way is always the best way."

"God ALWAYS answers prayer.  Realize, however, that sometime His answer is “No.”  Sometime it’s, “Not now.”  One time I prayed for God to give a little Bishon Frise dog to my wife and me as a little companion in our older years.  About two years passed until one day God inspired my oldest daughter and her wealthy husband to spend the four figure purchase price of a thorough bred Bishon Frise puppy to give to us on our birthdays just four days apart.  What an amazing, caring Heavenly Father, God!"

"All that to say, very humbly, that sometimes God remembers to give us some creature comforts that we don’t necessarily ask for.  It’s like getting ice cream from your earthly father, only better.  The Lord God Knew that I was in a position to make my youngest daughter and her husband very happy with a free Mercury Sable, and make my youngest son very happy with a free gas saving Geo Metro.  And so He arranged for me to get some car buying money.  We have an all mighty Heavenly Father who loves to see us happy and appreciative.  Never forget it."
